The island of Newfoundland offers over 9,000 kilometers of coastline to paddle, and its diversity of life and landscape is grand. Ancient icebergs, whales, seals, seabirds, coastal mountains, sea stacks, and caves of volcanic rock can be seen.

Newfoundland's rich human history spans 7,000 years of seafaring cultures. Visit with present day villagers and uncover evidence of past cultures in the many bays and coves along the rugged and sparsely populated shoreline. Your kayaking expedition will provide many opportunities to explore Newfoundland's diverse natural and human history!

For 5 days, you will hike the Long Range Traverse in world-renowned Gros Morne National Park on the west coast of Newfoundland. This challenging off-trail trek will take you deep into the wilderness of the islands largest National Park.

Experience a dramatic mountain landscape of glacier carved fjords, lush valleys, numerous streams and ponds, and arctic alpine barrens. Woodland caribou, rock ptarmigan, arctic hare, black bear, and moose thrive in this environment. Your experienced guide will point out Arctic plant species as you hike along the way.
