Freqently Asked Questions

Below are several general questions we receive quite often at LMA. Although we do our best to answer more common questions on this page, if you can't find your answer anywhere on our site, don't hesitate to contact us. We always love hearing from our guests :)

I'd prefer to have my own ride for the trip, can I skip the transportation when on trips where it's provided?

In almost all cases the answer to this is going to be yes. We'll try to provide a drive myself option when we can. Keep in mind that this may make your party ineligible for activities along the way (brewery tours, wine tours, etc). If a "Drive Yourself" option isn't available go to our Contact Us page and drop us a line.

What's the age

This is probably the question we get more often than any other. Our response to this has always been "It's not about the age, it's about the experience."

The beauty of these trips is that it generally draws a pretty diverse crowd in age and backgrounds which only enhances the unique community feel. People generally have two main concerns - that the trip will have a frat party vibe or will feel like a retirement home. We can assure you don't need to worry about either. Regardless of age, we attract a group that's joining for the adventure and likes to casually kickback with an adult beverage in the evening.

I want to join for a certain trip, but I don't have any experience in one of the activities. Am I going to be out of my league?

For every adventure that we plan we'll have "Who is This Trip Perfect For" info. We'll make sure to let you know if prior experience is necessary. Feel free to ask about specific details and if for some reason we think that a certain activity isn't right for you, we'll let you know.

I'm interested in becoming a guide for Live More Adventures, are you hiring?

We're always interested in meeting and talking with potential guides. Send us a note at our Contact Us page and we'll set up some time to chat.

My Guides Did A Kickass Job, Should I Be Tipping Them?

Our guides' job is to make sure that you're having a kickass time, that is literally part of the job description. You should never feel obliged to tip our guides for doing their job, but you are welcome to do is you'd like.

What if the worst storm of the century is about to happen during the weekend of the trip I signed up for?

The first thing we're going to do is to come up with an awesome name for whatever crazy weather system is descending upon us. Here are some early favorites: "The Twista That Will Displace Yo Sista", "Sharkdicknado", "Amandageddon". After we get that out of the way, we closely monitor weather conditions and make a decision about the status of the trip. We usually wait until 24 hours before the departure time to make a decision if we have to cancel/reschedule a trip. If you haven't heard from us you should assume that the trip is still on. But we'll make sure to keep in touch if things are looking questionable.

What happens if an adventure gets cancelled?

Try as we might, sometimes we just have to cancel an adventure because of weather. If weather forces one of our adventures to be rescheduled or cancelled, we will provide the option of a 100% refund, no questions asked. You will also have the option to re-book the same adventure at a future date or use the credit towards a different adventure.

I know LMA provides everything for each trip, but does that mean I don’t need to pack anything, like underwear?

Sorry to disappoint, but you will need to bring your own underwear. For that matter you will have to bring all of your own clothes along with other normal day to day items. On each Adventure page we provide a detailed packing list and recommended wardrobe. If you have additional questions or specific needs, please feel free to contact us directly to ask!

If I get 100 of my friends to join an adventure, could I get a discount?

Discount? No. Free trip, hell yeah. At LMA we believe the more the merrier. If you have 100 people in your group, you will go for free, guaranteed. Even if you don’t have 100 friends, don’t worry we offer group discounts for most trips for groups far smaller than 100. Generally group discounts are offered for groups of 4 or more, this does vary depending on the trip so check out the trip pages for specific details.
